The Queen
Each morning
When eastern rim glows pink,
The queen of flowers spreads her soft hands,
Allures her admirers with her fragrance
to kiss her delicate visage.
She waltzes for a second
To gather the beams of morning sun,
To shake off the the silence of spring dewdrops,
To intoxicate bees and butterflies,
And be the pride of Mother Nature.
Alone she enjoys the moment
With tranquil delight in her eyes,
Lilting with life
She breathes a message of giving,
Giving all that she can offer.
Riding on the wings of spring
She savors the bumblebee’s buzz
Flaunts her seasonal charm
Ephemeral beauty that fades fast
Like a melting candle.
