You are Enough. #WDYS

Beneath that beauty lie broken dreams
Beneath that sadness sit unspoken words.
That gentle face hides frozen fallacy
Feigning to hold forlorn finesse.

I know that veracious visage so well
A vortex of repressed emotions.
Murmurs of grief vacillate around
Will they shake you out of slumber?

Fears that shriek to spurt out,
Fortitude that is struggling to stand by,
Self-love that is germinating gauntly.
Nurture it; let it nourish your soul.

I know you are enough,
Enough to confront those who smother you.
Listen to that inner voice
That is the only support, the only hope.

Don’t drown dreams in the sea of yearnings.
Make your own choices
Wake up to catch those clouds
Be the person you want to be!

When despairs deepen,
Ignite the fire within.
Wriggling out is no longer a challenge,
Bound before it consumes you.

A Dream #WDYS

I parked my dream
with my brand new, white cycle
It still whispers through
the pores of my skin, nudging,
reminding: dreams never die.

caged in metaphors
content with the flight they took
all dreams have melted.
a cauldron of charred moments –
the only reality.

A Memorable Villa #WDYS

A Memorable Villa

One of my childhood memories
Could never fade,
As Grandpa’s favorite picture
still adorns the big wall of his room.

He loved this villa,
Its blue doors and windows
In sync with the sky
and the sea that faced it.

A narrow staircase
Kissed the clouds
“We often tried to touch them,”
He smiled when he told us.

We would sit in awe
When he told us
the stories of this beautiful house,
encompassed by flowery creepers.

Flower fairies adored the walls
Butterflies played with them,
Breeze danced in delight
It sounded magical!

“Is it a fairy tale, grandpa?”
We asked him.
His wistful eyes wandered
as he shook his head in disagreement.

Young aspirations took flight,
The pull of the world enticed him
Leaving childhood home behind,
he got lost in the endless chase of life.

Villas live longer than people
They cradle many generations
Such pictures steal a sliver of time —
a prized possession of memories.

A Dream Flight #WDYS

When dawn touches dewdrops
with her soft hues,
They try to hold hands,
To catch the silvery light
And make a dream flight
Just like the morning birds
Soaring together,
Rising to greet the pink hues
Of the sky
Murmuring the meaning
Of togetherness.

Paths of life are not straight
Flying away sounds magical
But dreams drown the boundaries.
They stand in a skeptical mood
Looking at the choices, thinking,
Is it worth it?
Who knows the dead end?
Should fears waver us?
Life flows
So do they.

thorny path ahead
yet my resolve remains firm
when shadows stumble
wisdom chooses to follow us
each step is fearlessly bold

one step at a time
we meander through life’s path
with unsteady steps
slippery stones delude us
cobwebs can’t trap the brawny
