Watery Secrets #WDYS

Watery Secrets

Lilting water of a river
Flows like my thoughts
It glides as well as calms
Even the wind slows down to rest, here.

The sun hides his gold in this water
He knows how it will blend in
to lend soft hues
that shimmer each morning.

Solitude becomes blissful here
Mother Nature caresses my hair
Branches bend in her support,
blending my angst into the water.

Dreams become magical here,
Acquire the fluidity of water.
Get time to change their shape
just like the complacent clouds.

A Cute Visitor #WDYS

A Cute Visitor

A yellow warbler –
messenger of happiness
heralds spring season

wears colorful coat,
sings songs of eternal hope
in bright, high-pitched tone

a cute visitor
sings: ‘sweet sweet sweet…I’m so sweet’
the voice of the wild

charms the birdwatchers,
prefers shrubby areas
nocturnal migrant.

Summer Fun #WDYS #TankaTuesday

I sit
in the bubbles
some blessings come like that
I dive into the bright colors,
to choose
the one that matches your love for me
and calmly watch the joy
that glistens on
your face.

Surfing
enhances the fun,
summer heat dissipates
just like the illusionary
colors
that bestow bubbly enchantment
so many rainbows dance
A healing touch –
freedom!

Waves or Stars? #WDYS

Waves or Stars?

Waves wear rare pearls
Created by a celestial dame
They bounce with the morning rays,
echo with the rushing ripples,
Sending a shiver across the shore.

Waves hold the stars,
A silvery liquid sparkles and flows
through the dark alleyways of my heart
To thaw the emotional distrust,
to purge my shadowy eyes.

A thousand stories
linger on the beaming waves
Eager to spillover.
An anchor
for time traps in this maelstrom.

Waves hold the power
To allure, to calm, to tranquilize
Waves hold the light,
The light that wraps around my heart
to guide, to let go.

Smiles #WDYS #TankaTuesday

Smiles brighten our day
beaming through yellow flowers
despite the darkness

blurry smiles stay bright
glisten in the pool of joy —
quiet melody

have you forgotten?
smiles dance into broken hearts,
melt frozen rivers

a balm that calms bruises
smiles inspire the inner child
keep the smiles alive!
