Magical Whispers #NewRelease

Click to look inside

I wait for whispers; they regale my muse. Whispers that can be heard by our heart, whispers that ride on the breeze to dispel darkness and ignite hope. I’m sure you would hear them through these poems if you read slowly.

‘Magical Whispers’ would transport you to an island of serenity; beseech you to tread softly on the velvety carpet of nature to feel the ethereal beauty around you. The jigsaw of life would melt and merge as you dive into the warmth of words.

In this book, my poems focus on whispers of Mother Nature, whispers that are subtle but speak louder than words and breathe a quiet message.

Each day reminds us
It’s the symphony of surroundings
That whisper life into us.

Whispers #Poetry

In this book, my poems focus on whispers of Mother Nature, whispers that are subtle but speak louder than words and breathe a quiet message. Paradoxical? I agree. When inner voice whispers, we brush it aside, snub it but know we need to hear it some day.

‘Magical Whispers’ would transport you to an island of serenity; beseech you to tread softly on the velvety carpet of nature to feel the ethereal beauty around you. The jigsaw of life would melt and merge as you dive into the warmth of words.

Whenever wind whispers
Trees bend their branches
To sing with alacrity
~

Whispers that are subtle
Whispers that would transport you
To an island of serenity
~

Each day reminds us
It’s the symphony of surroundings
That whispers life into us

Island We loved

fantasy
Sue Vincent’s #Writephoto

Each morning we would rush out
To swim to the ‘Angel Island’
Inhabited by colorful fairies
We wanted to live that belief.

Ah! The magic of moments…
Enamored by the beauty around us
We made it our second home
Summer brought those blessings.

Showered with rose petals
We sailed into another world
A realm unknown to man
Where melodies of nature charmed.

Immersed in the poetry of water
We walked the magical path
Flowery beds beckoned us
We smiled sinking deep into reveries.

Intoxicated by the arabesque of fairies
We too twirled with joy
Friendship is a celestial gift –
Unequivocal and unparalleled.

Book Review 3 : Moments we love by Balroop Singh

I marvel at Smitha’s in-depth reading and analysis of my poetry and therefore had to share her review.  The poet in her is looking at me through her choice of words, picking up all the nuances of emotions embedded in my poems. Many thanks to Smitha for this insightful review of Moments We Love. “There is a equal mix of romanticism and rebelliousness in the poems,” says Smitha. I am touched by her observations. I haven’t been active on wordpress lately. My brain has been clogged with far too many things. So what does a blogger do when s/he faces writer’s block if such a thing exists? The writer reads and then writes about what they have read. I picked up this book on kindle sometime ago but managed to read it only now because I’m not much of a kindle reader. I like holding books in my hand and feeling the pages. I know I must change this in the interest of the planet. And what better way to begin with this book which talks about the love for people and the love for nature and love for oneself in the same breath, especially since the author/ poet herself had told me when I decided to write review 3 months ago, ‘ the author has finally arrived.’ It’s a sentence I derive great…

This is also Love!

Love is a sublime emotion, which is only understood when we have crossed the pitfalls of infatuation; when we stop gazing at its dazzling light; when we learn to look within and when it has taught us its value. I have written about it many times. Here is an excerpt from one of my poems:

“True love keeps smiling in our eyes
Like a fountain that never dries
It instills hope, respect, patience
The journey of love is so elating.”

Recently I stumbled upon a book of poetry that acquainted me with another aspect of LOVE; not because it came back (which is so rare) but because it validated my belief that I have shared in the opening lines.

71A6gYNJjwL._AC_SL260_This poetry was written when the poet was a youngster. It made no sense to cling to those painful memories, so she abandoned it in some dark corner of the house to move forward. Many years later, her dad found the original script and gave it to her. That’s how these poems saw the light of the day to enlighten many minds. Eeva Lancaster shares the story of her life in the introductory part of this book.

The good news is that her love came back to her after 10 years!

MY REVIEW:

In Loving You – A Journey of Love and Self Discovery by Eeva Lancaster highlights that love is not just elation, not just the ecstasy of holding each other to soak in the blissful moments; it is heartbreaking too, it drives you almost crazy, pushing you into the shadows with “ghost” like existence. Emotionally charged and realistic, these poems bring out profound realities of relationships – anguish, yearning, heartbreak, loneliness, and emptiness – each emotion has been exquisitely captured by Eeva. The passion of a youngster shines through her verses.

Isn’t it ironic that love, the most powerful emotion acquaints you with the “beauty of surrender,” makes you feel like “a reed so soft and bending!” Some poems inspire to move on, conveying a subtle message that clinging on to somebody who doesn’t acknowledge your love is futile. If we could peep through the drapes of present, if we could escape the pain – an essential part of life – we would cease to be emotional and creative. Eeva’s poetry suggests that the journey toward self-discovery lies through cauldrons of circumstances, which may smile at you at a later stage. I salute this brave poet for sharing the story of her life.
