Unknown Love

image of ocean and a wave rushing to the shore

I could hear the waves
Whispering softly into my ears.

I could see them breaking at my feet
Tugging at my heart.

I could discern the echo
Reverberating all around me.

I could envision their calling
Loving invitation into their arms.

I could feel the sweep
Getting carried by their stroke.

I could hold the breezy touch
Caressing my fingertips.

I could embrace the love
Profound and intensely distinctive.

I could experience the peace
Twirling with them, again and again.

I could sense the solace
Of merging into the unknown.

The unknown blue, enveloping all
The luring love, alluring all.

Do you ever feel the same kind of pull… the feeling of merging into the surroundings?

Book Review ~ “Sublime Shadows of Life” by Balroop Singh

Dorinda Duclos, a poet par excellence has reviewed my debut book ‘Sublime Shadows Of Life.’ I hope you would like to read her wonderful 5 star review and share it.
When a poet of Dorinda’s caliber reviews poetry, and gives a positive view, it tinges every nerve and sinew.

The poems in this collection talk about bruised emotions and lost passions, which linger around us even when we try to bury them. While these poems give them a channel to flow freely, they also send vibes of positivity to deal with their shadows.

The journey of putting this book together.

From the author herself:

“Sublime Shadows of Life is a comment on life, its turbulent curves and relationships. It envisions people through the prism of poetry. I, you, he, we and they are universal symbols which highlight the fact that happiness is not a destination but a chasm to bury agony, anguish, grief, distress and move on! No sea of solitude is so deep that it can drown us. Sometimes aspirations are trampled upon, the boulders of exploitation and discrimination may block your path but those who tread on undeterred are always successful.”

My Review:

“Sublime Shadows of Life is a perfectly titled book, from author Balroop Singh. Each poem easily glides into the next yet, each one is its own entity. Singh captivates your heart, drawing you into her words, allowing you to feel the pain, the love, the longing for lost possessions and the fear of death. These…

Calm

autumn-018-2
Sue Vincent’s #photo prompt

Far away
From the humdrum of life
Is the land we hold sacrosanct
The land of tranquility

Where melodies of nature calm
Reflections gather and glimmer
Dreams bounce with joy
Mother Nature’s sanity speaks

Exquisite moments hold
Positive vibes of life
Connections seem eternal
Ah… the solace solitude brings!

Tranquility we yearn for
In the whirlwind called life
Both the journeys
Come with a price.

The Valley Of Happiness

Happiness

They lived in the valley of happiness
Away from the hypocritical world
A valley, surrounded by flowers
Welcoming rain, sunshine, and snow.
They had braved the storms of life,
They believed in themselves!

Broken dreams didn’t bother them
Happiness was not a destination
It was harmony with their thoughts
It was absorbing the radiance of stars
It was merging into the dark clouds
It was reveling in the glory of the rainbow.

The door to happiness was always ajar
The key to that door… in their hearts
Happiness just sneaked in!
Sometimes the door was left unlatched
Serenity and calmness tiptoed
To warm their hearts with inner peace.
