#NewRelease #Syllabic #Poetry

I am delighted to share my new poetry book, which is available for Pre-order, here.

I am thankful to all the poets who write and promote Syllabic Poetry, as I have learned to write various forms of this poetry with your prompts and inspiration. A special THANKS to Colleen, whose encouragement never wanes, and her positive comments keep pouring in despite her busy schedule.

Syllabic poetry is a challenging form of poetry that relies on syllabic count. It may appear to be short and simple, and easy to write, but I realized its level of difficulty when I tried to write within the given syllables.  It conveys the poet’s thought in a succinct and meaningful manner. It has a soul that peeps through words brimming with emotion. Each word is loaded, and each metaphor is significant. Read slowly to savor the flavor and the depth of the thought.

I chose to write haiku for this week’s WDYS #348 photo prompt. Thanks to Sadje for sharing a lovely image of sunset.

For more poetry, hang out with  Hues Of Hope
