Mystic Folds

Some landscapes are incredibly dazzling. It’s hard to believe that they are naturally formed marvels. Surrounded by the shades of orange and red, I stand by the swirling sandstone, awestruck by the centuries-old folds. I can hear the timeless sounds that echo the wondrous power of nature. The brilliant glow of the setting sun conjures a strange spiritual connection with the layered symphonies – so pure yet so wild!

Thanks to Willow and Colleen for the inspiration to write syllabic poetry. The challenge this week is to create either a Shadorma Prose or an any type of prose, including a syllabic form. The subject or theme can be of your choosing.
Thanks to Sadje for #Whatdoyousee #315 and an inspiring image to create this poem.

If You Were Here…

A gentle hug of Mother Nature
Pulls me out.
In connivance with the wind,
She showers pink petals
To cheer me up.

Still tied to shadows,
I glance at the beauty, the blossoms
And think…
If you were here
We would’ve walked under this pink canopy.

Placid water reflects my image
And you wave at me
Your endearing smile says:
“Your presence enhances the beauty.”
For a moment, your voice echoes

And then your face fades,
Jolting my heart with a renewed shudder
Cherry trees catch the signal,
Spread some more petals around me.
Draping your memories, I walk alone.

Harmony

Mother nature’s beauty surpasses all;

dames fade into oblivion

the moment she walks with elegant steps

and summons clouds to create harmony.

Her soft kisses soften the azure skies,

her visage acquires various contours,

her fragrance could fill our hearts with delight.

A maverick who changes her sounds but

breathes tranquility of togetherness.

Each new attire adds tone to her beauty

she creates her musical instruments

her harp is unique, her violin weird

Her melodies enamor all love birds.

She’s the best when she flows with abandon.

Thank you Colleen for sharing such a descriptive painting, to inspire us to write syllabic poetry.

The Blason is a genre of poetry committed to the praise or blame of something through the use of a series of images that support the theme. Blason can be applied to any verse form such as the sonnet or blank verse. The Blason often takes the form of octosyllabic or decasyllabic verse that ends with an epigraphic conclusion.

Thanks to all poetry lovers. Stay tuned for my new poetry book – coming soon.

The Artist’s Garden at Giverny (French:Le Jardin de l’artiste à Giverny) is an oil on canvas painting by Claude Monet done in 1900 now in the Musée d’Orsay, Paris.

Damsel of Buds

Welcome
to my garden
to revel in colors,
sprinkled by the dainty damsel
of buds.

she strides
with dreamy lull,
creates the land of love
doves coo – melodies that allure
beaus.

fragrance
blends with beauty,
flutters with the petals
misty dance of pink and purple-
a balm!

arms of
Mother Nature
drape around stressful nerves
serenity percolates now
through air
.

wondrous
garden of bliss
that sparkles for moments
just pause to admire the unique
artist.

Thanks to Colleen for the inspiration to craft syllabic poetry. This week, the inspiration is a painting, which was featured on Rebecca’s post:

#FridayPainting: Claude Monet “The Artist’s Garden at Giverny”

I’ve written a Crown cinquain, a sequence of five cinquain stanzas functioning to construct one larger poem. This poem has five stanzas, each with syllable count of 2/4/6/8/2.

Thank you.

Coherent Colors

Colors condescend here and mingle with perfect ease. Green dives into blue to create a calm combination. Peach perches on rocky terrain. I rise with the mist to kiss the clouds.  A wondrous land beckons me far beyond the fragrance of fir trees. An empowering lift. A milky channel opens to welcome a weary soul.

An artist at work
unfurling serenity
breathing in colors
her easel is eclectic
divine power mentors her.
