…And I Was Alive!

Refulgent rainbow in my garden
Stood with open arms
Eager to embrace me
Mesmerized by its glowBlissful moments
I gave in…

It carried me far
Into the land of unknown
A wonderfully brilliant world
Of clouds and colors

A magnificent monolithic arch
Spreading colorful confetti
Ecstatic I looked around
To ensure that I was alive

Blithe Breeze ruffled my hair
Beckoning me to joyously join
The realm of shimmering love
Of boundless freedom and fun

Moments of celestial bliss…
The fetters of attachment fell
The masks melted instinctively
Prejudices tumbled out of hearts

I wish I could stay longer
I wish I could carry some glimmer
Some sparks of light, love and harmony
To enhance the beauty of my planet.

Heavenly Whisper

Heavenly light

The light of my study lamp
Often blinds me, turns celestial
It lifts me, carries me away
Into the world of extreme elation
 
Far from earthly existence
Floating effortlessly, higher and higher
As if impelled by a light bright,
Feeling like a liberated kite!
 
Guided by a heavenly whisper
A soft, luscious unheard voice
Fascinated by the aura of sounds
Enchanted by the exuberance of colors
 
Confounded by the abstract beauty
I experience a strange sensation
A message resounds all around
Happiness is not elusive.
 
I return to my study,
My safe haven
The light of my lamp
Glows brighter, bemused I ruminate

I try to reflect… a sound reverberates
I can hear various distant shots
My selfish thoughts veer around myself
They are far…I am safe!

The Light Of Peace

I was drowning in the sea of despair
I refused to clutch hope, my closest friend
 
An Angel of peace spoke softly
Last night… when my heart was bleeding
 
An Angel of peace pointed atLight of peace
The celestial light streaming outside
 
An Angel of peace gave me hope
Too delicate to hold at such an hour
 
An Angel of peace walked with me
Blessing all who lay in the pool of blood
 
An Angel of peace wiped my tears
Calmed my emotional outbursts
 
An Angel of peace made me peep
Inside the masks that often deceive
 
An Angel of peace infused a new light
A light of conviction and strength
 
An Angel of peace smiled solemnly
Promising to unravel all the secrets
 
An Angel of peace held my hand
Assuring me…no more hearts would be broken
 
An Angel of peace reassured me
This light would no longer be an illusion.

Dreams…A Domain We Love To Visit

Dreams

Like fragrant flowers under our feet
Like diaphanous drops of first rain
Like moonlight soothing our eyes
Like water boats floated with childlike charm
Dreams remain our precious possessions.

Dreams gently caress us, carry us along
Awaken us out of their magic
Sometimes, stimulate us into activity
Encourage us to embark on the journey
To make a beginning, to plod on

Dreams are those concepts, those desires
Which remain deeply entrenched in us
Till we work on those images of mind
Flow in their current, shield them
From stormy waters… love them!

Dreams ignite a fire within us
A fire of reality, of confidence, of success
They push us into the life of adventure,
To rush, to explore, to accomplish
They steer us towards our goal

Dreams drown dreary thoughts
Keep us alive in the worst of times
They give wings to our heavy heart,
They transport us into another world
A world of our choice.

A Journey

You have always robbed meHope, positivity
Of my happiness, my triumph
Weakened my strength, my confidence
Rubbished my care, my concern
Hurt my most cherished memories.
 
Created a world for yourself
Beyond my reach…
My love can’t reach there anymore
Your incredible indifference
Could reach me… I’ve absorbed it.
 
But you have also given me
A flight of fantasy
To detach…to disengage
And enter my own exotic realm
Embark on a journey of my own…
 
I am immersed in a strange light
Streaming through me
Sending the waves of forgiveness
Spreading the message of love
Unconditional…absolute.
