Dark Clouds

dark-clouds-on-a-sunny-day
Sue Vincent’s #Writephoto

When dark clouds gather around the horizon
When they are summoned by a sunny moor
When sunshine subsides willingly
It is time for nostalgia…

Memories arrive within moments
Paper boats float all around,
Even before the first drop falls
Musical notes glide in the air.

Breeze blows away stressful thoughts,
It softly taps on our hearts
To rejoice in the aura of setting
And soar with the soothing skies.

Oh! The joy of drifting into the arms of breeze
A gentle rustling touch!
It is more like a lullaby
Breathing eternal calm.

A world of warmth and carefree comfort
Unfolds with kind caresses
And steady drizzle of unconditional love,
Like those celestial drops of rain.

Dreamland

dream
Sue Vincent’s #Writephoto

Purple robes of Mother Nature
In sync with her dreams
How long has she yearned for them?
I stand spellbound.

Celebrations start at dawn
Only couples are invited
Royal robes flutter fragrance
Sun shies away.

A whisper rides on breeze:
Far away from the land of conflicts
Welcome to the domain of dreams
Love blooms here.

Skeptics – please stay away
Echoes of love might devour your designs
We hold harmony in our hearts
Tethered to respect for all.

Silvery Serenity

silver-1-2
Sue Vincent’s #Writephoto

Drowning in watery wails
I try to clutch the waning light
My eyes wander in a wild pursuit
Knowing not what they want.

What is this weird place?
Silver glistens in the sky
Lending its sparkle to waves
Not a soul in sight.

Who dumped me here?
A wilderness of my dreams
At least I can breathe!
Hope shimmers amid dark dunes

Barefoot I walk toward horizon
I would carve my way
Out of apathy and derision.
Desolation doesn’t dissuade me.

Soaking in silvery serenity
I exult at my new world
All shackles fell apart
Traces of humanity linger.

The Key

secret
Sue Vincent’s #writephoto

The key to his heart was always with me
But I never turned it
The secrets within – I had deciphered
Words seemed superfluous

I could hear when it spoke softly
Angst lay within
Those crevices I explored alone
To calm the crimson rims

Trust of togetherness shaped us
Even time bowed
Storms raged and lost their rancor
Hearts could conquer all

Light and darkness merged here
We welcomed both
No agony could ever efface
The love that levees our contours

Some secrets have to remain buried
Because they are ours
We do share them
But only with the stars.

Misty Eyes

veiled-1
Sue Vincent’s #Writephoto

Misty maven’s visit
Veils the mounts
Each day before sun saunters in
To lend its colors to all –

A fusion that fosters
Hope and harmony.
Can you sense the vibes?
Can you see the equity?

Open those misty eyes
Veiled with societal norms,
With self-written archaic laws
Look around and quit myopia

Living in the haze of past
Glowering at the inevitable change
Nursing prejudices that slash spirits
Wouldn’t change the color of blood.
