I am taking a break but there is no excitement of the festive season in it. Pleasure walked out of my life two years ago. Will it ever return?
Break
Banking on the stream of life,
Resting my head on the waves,
Endeavoring hard to keep floating,
Adamant about dwelling in the shadows
Knocked down by a sudden storm, I’m blindsided.
***
Besieged by endless possibilities
Realms of positivity are beseeching me,
Exhorting me to abandon the dark corridors
And move ahead to take charge of
Knotty problems that need my attention.

Love this Balroop, it’s a nuanced exploration of life’s complexities, emphasising both the challenges we face and the potential for transformation❤️
Thank you for understanding what lies beneath the lines, Ange. Much appreciated.
❤️
Sometimes staying afloat is enough Balroop.
Until we find our strength again.
Your words resonated deeply !
Thank you for sharing your meaningful words, Maggie. I am glad you liked the poems.
My pleaaure always Balroop
Such heartfelt poetry, Balroop. Holidays are especially hard. Use your break to do whatever you want, even if it means doing nothing. I’m thankful for you, and hope your Thanksgiving is better than expected, even while you grieve.
I am traveling to India to attend to the unfinished works left behind. Solo travel is not pleasant, I’ve never liked it. Thank you for sharing your lovely words, Diana.
I wish you the best, my friend. Try to find moments of beauty and light amidst the difficulty of traveling solo. My thoughts are with you. Huge hugs.
Thank you for your lovely wishes , Diana. 🤗
Congratulations on your new book, Balroop!
Loss is always hard. You’re in my prayers.
Thank you so much for your wishes and prayers.
You’re welcome!
May you be able to untangle those knots Balroop as you walk into those realms of possibilities my friend ..
While I know your Festive season will be lacking the love of your life… I know he will be right beside your every step..
Much love and many blessings xx 🙏💕
Thank you for sharing your beautiful thoughts, Sue. 🥰🤗

Enjoy your break! I finished reading “Beyond the Fetters” and will post my review on my blog, social media, Amazon, and Goodreads on Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2025 (tomorrow.) I enjoyed your book very much!
Thank you SO much Dawn. 🤗🥰 Since I am traveling, I might be late for the reply tomorrow.
Oh that is clever with your poem. Very nicely done, Balroop.
Thank you Chris.
Always forward, my friend. Back is not an option. Beautifully said.
Thank you for your positive nudge, Violet. 🤗
it can all be so overwhelming
Lovely poem Balroop. So heartfelt. Have a great holiday. Take care and stay well ❤️❤️
From darkness to another start, your poem shows life, its ups and downs and how coming back to ordinary things can bring us back to life.
Very nice Balroop.
I felt the emotions in your poem, Balroop, and although the holidays will be hard, I’ll be thinking of you. I hope you’ll be able to find some joy, albeit from a wonderful memory or even a tiny speck that crosses your path during the next few weeks. Sending comforting hugs. ❤️
Holidays are hard for many people as they bring back so many memories, Balroop! Traveling solo is not easy for you either. I hope you’ll have some good time with your family in India and enjoy them despite of your best companion is not there to share. Hugs to you! ❤ ❤
