Moon Magic

Mesmerized by the
sublime glory of the sky
of today’s moonlight,
the dark crevices of my heart
embraced the magic of hope.

“We ran as if to meet the moon.” –Robert Frost

He told us about
the first fragrance of seasons,
the soaring spirits,
the lovers who pine alone,
how blissful is solitude!

Fantasy Flight

Riding on the passion of writing
Yearning for the world of fantasy,
Of the land that’s free,
My muse escapes.

And I sit,
Searching for the doors
She slammed shut.

What am I without her?
A slave to her whims?
Holding words –
Meaningless without her magic.
But I know
She’ll return with new ideas.

The path waits, dark and quiet
Invisible memories meander,
Starry nights get darker,
Silent echoes connect us.

Her journey to the moon
Endows her with new wisdom –
Fantasy flights fraught with euphoria,
Lead us into lonely lands.
Human touch is the basic need,
Love and emotions keep us grounded.

Zodiac Color #Poetry Challenge #Tanka

My own image

I belong to the
magnitude of the sky and
the depth of oceans
I emit vibes of calmness,
trust, freedom and cohesion.
~~

Positivity
is my eternal message
learn balance from me.
My hues evoke divine link,
I understand emotions.
~~

Many mysteries
dwell in the bottom of blue
my heart beats with them
I enhance exploration,
my expanse is limitless.

Sibling Love

Spontaneous love
delight of togetherness
hugs bring them closer.

***

Growing up is fun
in the shadow of siblings
who cherish values.

***

With consistent love,
they inherit little joys
and stay positive.

***

Two stars of parents
one is obdurate and tough
the other – gentle.

***

Always together,
attitudes may collide but
their love is subtle.

***

Competitive yet
proud of their older sibling
expectations mount.

***

Setting high standards
failure to reach that zenith
creates wide fissures.

***

How they drift apart
as they move ahead in life
does love disappear?

***

Unknown grudges creep in
childhood joys are forgotten
ego mentors some.

#Review #Poetry #Hope

I rarely share the reviews of my books here, but this one is exceptional as I am thrilled at the comprehensive nature of this review. Many thanks to Adam, whom I met recently through his analyses of the poems shared by blogger buddies.

I am delighted to note that he could discern the healing power of my poetry, that I had forgotten. I am reading ‘Hues of Hope’ again to soothe my spirit, which started believing that words are hollow and meaningless after a devastating loss.

Thank you dear readers. Please click on the above link to read the full review.
