Today’s poetry is inspired from Colleen’s poetry challenge, which gives the freedom to choose our own syllabic form but concentrate on a chakra color to feature in our poem. Please visit Word Craft Poetry to understand chakras. I chose tanka and violet color.

vernal violet
visual delight that jolts
royal touch that holds   
just one glance satiates me
even dew lingers to love

violet bells dance
tunes of  nature inspire
winds wane to watch them
beguile me in my backyard
scenario to cherish

***

Ah! The healing touch,
profound awareness moments
smear my soul with peace
to feel  mystical embrace
and the shift of perspective

I chose Violet color, which symbolizes creativity, wisdom, sensitivity and spirituality. It inspires, motivates, balances and uplifts. Thanks to Colleen for the inspiration to write syllabic poetry.

Unknown Ties

View from my patio

Pine tree twig nudges the other –
‘Look at the golden glow’
Wind chimes in to add its melody
Both swing with abandon.

Loaded with little pines
Both bask in the glory of twilight
I watch with delight
And feel connected.

The melodies of this tree
Change everyday – 
Soft in the morning breeze
It sings louder during the day.

Bound by unknown ties
I step out each time it changes its tune
My solidarity soars with each cadence
Our relationship gets deeper.

Intoxicated 
by nature’s nectar I thrive
Let me drink till dusk
kisses the sky and reminds you:
we are hypnotized by life

You took the sunshine;
alone I carve a new path
through the dark caverns
to gather tattered  remnants
of dreams and grim emotions

My Creative Cave

My creative cave
Is open from both sides
Starry nights spread their tresses
When sun wanders away.

My heart tingles with delight
When the glow of moon
Creates magic in my cave
My pen drapes around the light.

Emotions echo
To release the words
Oppressed by feral fears 
Creativity cedes her hold.

Till dawn breaks
Bringing dewy-damp whispers
And melody of flowers
A new song reverberates.

A song in synch with the surroundings
A song that soothes many hearts.

I embody desires
My power can never be calmed
I breathe moments
That flow through timeless terrain
To add glory to wilderness.

I race like thoughts
Yet I could calm a myriad mind
I heal without words
Hopes crumble into me 
To create a balm for souls.
