Drowning in watery wails
I try to clutch the waning light
My eyes wander in a wild pursuit
Knowing not what they want.
What is this weird place?
Silver glistens in the sky
Lending its sparkle to waves
Not a soul in sight.
Who dumped me here?
A wilderness of my dreams
At least I can breathe!
Hope shimmers amid dark dunes
Barefoot I walk toward horizon
I would carve my way
Out of apathy and derision.
Desolation doesn’t dissuade me.
Soaking in silvery serenity
I exult at my new world
All shackles fell apart
Traces of humanity linger.
