Sound That Resounds…And Guides

Sound that resounds

I could hear that sound
So familiar, so conversant
Stifled within me,
Smothered by visceral eyes

I could hear that sound
Coercing me to respond, to shake off
The primitive touch… tearing off
My spirit, my confidence, my vivacity

I could hear that sound
The fire crackling within me
The flames consuming my esteem
Shrieking… suffocation is excruciating

I could hear that agony
Imploring me to rise, to react
Reminding me of my resolve
To live with dignity, dauntless

I can no longer snub that sound
That inner voice, my mentor
My only benefactor, cautioning me
Not to die of asphyxiation

I can no longer wait for droplets
Of that heavenly nectar
Pretense is peeping through
That cloak of compassion

I can no longer remain insignificant
Your harrowing hauteur is oppressive
Forgive me for finding my own avenues
My gratitude goes to my spirit.

…And I Was Alive!

Refulgent rainbow in my garden
Stood with open arms
Eager to embrace me
Mesmerized by its glowBlissful moments
I gave in…

It carried me far
Into the land of unknown
A wonderfully brilliant world
Of clouds and colors

A magnificent monolithic arch
Spreading colorful confetti
Ecstatic I looked around
To ensure that I was alive

Blithe Breeze ruffled my hair
Beckoning me to joyously join
The realm of shimmering love
Of boundless freedom and fun

Moments of celestial bliss…
The fetters of attachment fell
The masks melted instinctively
Prejudices tumbled out of hearts

I wish I could stay longer
I wish I could carry some glimmer
Some sparks of light, love and harmony
To enhance the beauty of my planet.

Time is The Most Unknown…

“Time is the most unknown of all unknown things” – Aristotle

Inspired from this observation, I have tried to understand ‘Time’ and would like to share it with you today.

However, at the last moment I got invited to Aha.now, hosted by one of my favorite online friends, Harleena Singh. She has been so benevolent in saying that I could bring all my friends and readers along as special guests!

When I was young, very young, my innocently repeated question was: What is time… Where can we find it?

Nobody could answer it better than my dad. For him time was much more than just a measure in which events could be recorded and seen. He told me to look at the sun and its movement across the sky.

His response helped me see beyond the obvious. It opened vast vistas before me. It gave an impetus to my creative eye. Watching the movement of sun acquainted me with various hues of the sky and much more!

Heavenly Whisper

Heavenly light

The light of my study lamp
Often blinds me, turns celestial
It lifts me, carries me away
Into the world of extreme elation

Far from earthly existence
Floating effortlessly, higher and higher
As if impelled by a light bright,
Feeling like a liberated kite!

Guided by a heavenly whisper
A soft, luscious unheard voice
Fascinated by the aura of sounds
Enchanted by the exuberance of colors

Confounded by the abstract beauty
I experience a strange sensation
A message resounds all around
Happiness is not elusive.

I return to my study,
My safe haven
The light of my lamp
Glows brighter, bemused I ruminate

I try to reflect… a sound reverberates
I can hear various distant shots
My selfish thoughts veer around myself
They are far…I am safe!
