Wishes That Come From My Heart…

Wishes

If you are a writer
May words twirl around your place
If you are a dreamer
May visions placate your days with solace

If you are a lover
May fragrant freedom grace your days
If you are a visionary
May the hues of rainbow seep into your ways

If you are intuitive
May your inner voice fathom all
If you are sensitive
May tender vibes caress your emotional fall

If you are reflective
May your ideas sparkle and soar
If you have indomitable spirit
May success knock at your door

If you are a pessimist
May hope glow in your heart
If you are agitated
May patience bloom in your backyard

If you are a brooder
May your hours of distress decrease
If you are fun-loving
Savor each moment of joy with ease

Let happiness, harmony, humility
Let acceptance, compassion, calmness
Permeate through your persona
This year, to dispel all the disdain.

The Valley I Love

Valley of Flowers3(1)

Looking for sounds of happiness
I reached the valley of flowers.

Sitting silently in a corner,
I watched…

A butterfly, a bird, a bee
Humming, hovering, soaring…

Dissatisfied, returning to each flower
Hundreds of times,

Perching and flying…
Could you call this love?

I wondered what made the valley
So serene, so scenic!

Loving little flowers…so colorful
So deep, so bright and enchanting,

They mesmerized butterflies and bees
Human eyes too linger on them.

Rapt and awestruck, I watched
The valley of blissful ecstasy!

Happiness, love, serenity
The valley overflowed…

I know happiness lies in our heart
We just have to nurture it.

The blossoms of beauty and faith
A steady stream of goodness…

Brushes aside the thistles
Of everyday strife.

This Fall

This Fall

The fall adds wings to my words
The soft swish of breeze carries them away
Floating down merrily, they smile at me
And dance around with glee.

The ‘J’ of joy, the ‘M’ of melancholy
The ‘S’ of solitude, the ‘T’ of twilight
The ‘H’ of hope, the ‘C’ of calmness
All merge into each other

Enhancing the beauty of brilliant decay
Colors of fall highlight each ray
Of sun to inspire thoughts of twilight
Of forbearance, of change, of new days

At night the frightening wind
Brings sweeping somber thoughts
Of chilly gusts, of lonely nights
A yearning yells at those sights…

To get away, to stay adrift, to disengage
All those memories glide softly back
Into those enclosed caskets
Never shall I excavate.

This fall I am burying them deeper
This fall is more buoyant, more blissful
The resilience rests on my brow
The happiness lives with me now

In my thoughts, in my loving home
In all seasons, even in this fall
It brings sweet memories of moments dear
My words fly now with the same cheer.

The Golden Cage

golden_cage_by_lobiply-d2xf7e6

Trapped in the golden cage
The cage of unfulfilled desires
The cage of love and expectations
The cage with vast vistas,
Each door so welcoming
Yet so deceptive!

The pleasures of caged life
The gratification of cravings
Kept her tightly bound.
With clipped wings she looks around,
Distressed dove later found
That was her life!

A life of tragic torture,
A life of total surrender
In the sea of tears
Facing physical and mental anguish
Muffled voice…
Suppressed by own desires!

Longing to break free
Yet seeking little moment of glee
Conspiring to grab all
Knowing well,
The cage would never open
The golden cage was her fate.

Sometimes it becomes quite difficult to save yourself from such traps, they appear to be tempting but their delusion dawns on us when it is too late. What are your thoughts about such situations? I would love to hear your views.

THE POWER OF WORDS

words

Words link; they create lovely bonds
Words evoke emotions; they heal with love.

Words inspire, they take you with their flow
Words stimulate; they fill you with courage.

Words silence; they take you into deeper dumps
Words soften; they can change your outlook.

Words encourage, they lead you to your goal
Words motivate; they can accomplish all.

Words hurt; they can cause irreparable damage
Words falter; they give us the power to introspect.

Words stir passions; they make you feel alive
Words cheer you up; they guide you to look forward.

Words crop up unawares; they reveal your full potential
Words dance through your thoughts; they make you wiser.

Words provide us curiosity; they unravel the secrets of life
Words give us faith; they let us pursue our dreams.
