I Know You

I know you well
I know how you barge in
With your muffled face
To rob us of our happy days

I know your icy fingers are eagerlySounds of death
Whetting their nails
To dig deeper into my veins
I have just one request…

Come softly…tiptoe into my room
Clasp me gently in my sleep
I know you are not so nice
But you can’t be cruel to me twice.

Come when the sky is soft pink
I may not be awake to see
My soul would soak in the beauty
And leave this earth with good memories

My truce with you doesn’t speak of love
You know I hate you
I have always hated since you
Deprived me of my childhood!

Whispering Peace and Tranquility

Light, clouds and snow

Far away in the clouds
That lit up with your memories
A fairy smiles at me
Is that you?

Far away in the sky
A streak of light oscillates,
Each time I think of you
Is that your amorphous abode?

It’s been ages but
Your chilly embrace still warms me
Your gentle kisses reassure
You haven’t changed.

Decked in white robes
Drifting down softly
Shimmering at the thoughts
Of our reclusive rendezvous

While I lie frozen in time
Your footsteps fall on my heart
Ensconced in each other we breathe
Whispering peace and tranquility.

Sunrise Splendor

Sunrise amidst clouds

                        When clouds smile
               When warmth is felt within
                   Morning seems surreal.

Winter Sunrise

                         I was watching
   Your glowing love permeated around
             Trees bowed in reverence.

Sunrise

Sunrise

                  Peeping through trees
           I enlighten light that awakens
                      Your languid love.

This post was inspired from the thoughts I shared with my blogger friend arv, who is very passionate about sunrise and wonders why people share more images of sunset.  Both sunrise and sunset allure me equally and I have spoken about them in my earlier posts. Love And Christmas Cheer

Christmas Cheer for all

If you are warm and loved this winter
If you can watch the gray sky
From your French windows
Or see the snow falling softly

If you can shut that cold out
Yet watch and enjoy it
With that fireplace glowing
And spreading radiant joy

If you have a loved one to hug you
With music of your choice
Yours is the day and this world
Full of Christmas cheer!

Snow Within Us? #Thaw

Snow within us

It may have snowed last night
But I would walk out to meet you
The pebbly path may be slippery
But I can find the footholds to reach you

My snow boots may be old
But they would carry me along
It may be warm here
But I can carry it in my sedulous song

Your heart may be cold
But I would ignite it with the fire
That burns bright within us
The flames that you always admire

The sun may be hidden
But it would shine brighter to thaw
The coldness in and out
Our love can never withdraw

Never at the threat of intruders
Who try to alienate ardent lovers
Who try to accentuate acrimony
In the name of cultural covers.
