#TankaTuesday – Synonyms only

Image from my patio

Time twinkles and glows
a fraction of an hour pauses
watch the spectacle!
the horizon celebrates
the design of hued twilight.

***

clouds vie with passion
steal the radiance of sky
momentary splash –
crafted by ardent artist,
articulating finesse.

Thanks to Colleen for the inspiration to write syllabic poetry.

The challenge this week is to use synonyms of CREATE and BRIGHT.

  1. I would say you did a wonderful job with this prompt. The second stanza incorporates some high syllabic words, and still flows very freely. Nice job!

    1. This was not a photo prompt Pam. I chose the image after writing the tanka series. I am glad they capture the beauty of sunset. Thank you for sharing your lovely thought.

  2. I love this mellow “pause,” Balroop. So grateful that nature offers us such beauty that we forget our troubles and notice something exquisite, lasting, and larger than us. You capture that gift wonderfully.

    1. You are so right, Diana. The beauty around us is a balm that momentarily heals our hearts. Thank you dear friend, you have a lovely heart.
