This week, Colleen’s innovative challenge is to write Witch’s Brew Poetry for Halloween.

Halloween Fun

Two?
No! ten
‘Fun Friends’ plan
to meet before
the get together. 
collect fifty feathers
one for each guest, round and round
they boogie around the cauldron
stirring special brew for halloween
Tinu pours a big bottle of vodka 
Minu pours juice; Binu brings cranberries, 
crushes them with her bare hands – dripping red
have you gone crazy? shouts Sheenu
ha! ha! witchy sounds echo
stir, purr, stir is the song
that whirls and twirls them
stars shine brighter
blending with 
the wild 
fun.

I’ve written a double Etheree. An Etheree is a type of poem which consists of 10 lines of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 syllables. Etheree can also be reversed and written 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. So it is called a double Etheree.
