#Winter Desolation – #Poetry

The challenge this week is to write Kimo poems with this syllable count: 10/7/6.

buying a new calendar is a chore
I am flanked by finite fog,
besieged by emotions
***

Winter desolation dawdles with me
Lost in doleful alley
I wince at the windfall
***

festive season sounds insignificant
when trimming the Christmas tree
throws heart-piercing splinters

Thanks to Colleen for the inspiration to write syllabic poetry.

Thanks dear blogger buddies for your love and support in the darkest time of my life.

  1. This is so expressive, Balroop. I feel the glass edges of emotion carried in your soul. Love and peace to you, my friend. I continue to keep you in my prayers. 💙

  2. Your heart is so raw that your words have a indescribable beauty. I pray for a soothing balm to calm your heart especially during this season of winter festivities. May friends and loved ones surround you and may their love overflow directly into your heart like a transfusion.

  3. I can’t imagine the depths of your sorrow, Balroop. Your verse touches my heart. 💞💞

  4. Balroop, your poetry beautifully elevates ordinary moments, turning the act of buying a new calendar or facing winter’s desolation into profound reflections. The emotions you weave into the festive season and trimming the Christmas tree resonate deeply. Great work!
