Snow

I am swept off by the north wind, grappling to find a foothold, wishing you could hold me one more time. The cold clutch of gloom drags me along the first snow of the season. Powerless, I look at those who offer weary words. Draping your memories around me, I stare at the clock that refuses to chime.

My world is dreary
I am enshrouded by snow
snow queen’s lullaby
buries me deeper into
the obscurity of time.

While I am floundering in the sea of grief, I owe gratitude to all my blogger buddies for their kind words of solace. My clock has been standing still but I am trying my best to get back to blogging. Thank you.

Thanks to Colleen’s prompt for nudging me to keep writing.

      1. I agree Lisa, that’s how I am trying to live though it seems meaningless now. Thank you so much for understanding my state of mind. 🤗🙏🏻

  1. Holding space for you dearest Balroop as you nurture your emotions .. Your words of poetry are a way to express and release… Take your time dear Balroop…
    Much love xx ❤

  2. Your friends are here for you, Balroop. I lift you up in prayer regularly and will continue to pray you find peace. I’m sending you healing thoughts and virtual hugs. 💙

  3. You are often in my thoughts, dear Balroop. Reading your poem is a journey into your heart. Poignant and sorrowful, it is painfully beautiful. 💙

  4. Your clock stands still to honor him. Your poem is beautiful. Like an ice pack brings down the swelling of a strained ligament, the snow enshrouds you to protect your heart from exploding. You can’t keep going at a normal pace. Time and the cold stops to allow you to heal enough to face living again. God bless you.

  5. Balroop, deepest condolences on the loss of your loved one. Know you are also being held in warm thoughts as you find your way through grief {{{{HUGS}}}}.

  6. Deepest condolences again Balroop. I wear the shoes so I understand your poem only too well 💔 ‘Weary words’, so relatable. Hugs xx
