The Journey Continues… My #NewBook

I had never planned to reach here! I didn’t know there is so much poetry still within me! When I was about to publish my first poetry book, one of my friends said, “this is just the tip of an iceberg” but I laughed off his prophetic words.

I am thrilled to share my third poetry book cover with you. ‘Timeless Echoes’ is ready for release. I would request all my readers and well-wishers to help me in its promotion.

Here are my days
Defined by my reflections,
In my hands are
Moments when I flew
On the wings of imagination.

Perching on clouds
With caution…a little apprehensive,
I hold another dream.
Oh! you can’t even have
An iota of inkling
Of the rivulets of rapture
That flow within me!

Book Blurb:

Certain desires and thoughts remain within our heart, we can’t express them, we wait for the right time, which never comes till they make inroads into of our most guarded fortresses to spill onto the pages of our choice. This collection is an echo of that love, which remained obscure, those yearnings that were suppressed, the regrets that we refuse to acknowledge. Many poems seem personal because they are written in first person but they have been inspired from the people around me – friends and acquaintances who chose to share their stories with me.

Some secrets have to remain buried because they are ours
We do share them but only with the stars
The tears that guard them are as precious as flowers
Soothing like balm on festering scars.

While there are no boxes for grief and joy, some persons in our life are intensely associated with these emotions. Their separation shatters us, their memories echo, we grieve but life does not stagnate for anyone…it is more like a river that flows despite the boulders. When imagination and inspiration try to offer solace, poetry that you are about to read, springs forth.

  2. Balroop, yeah!! 😀 Congratulations, my friend! 🎉 I am so happy for you and it is a huge achievement to release your third book. The premise is fantastic…so many of our emotions are hidden from view, known only to ourselves. This sounds like a compelling poetic exploration of those feelings, thoughts. The final lines of the shorter poem particularly struck a chord with me:

    ‘The tears that guard them are as precious as flowers
Soothing like balm on festering scars.’ Wow!

You have that magic power of churning out like a magician the surprises from the basket of your poetry. Each poetry of yours, the emotions it evoked, the feelings it generates, the joy it gives, the profound meaning it carries and the meaningful engagement we experience only comes with the reading of beautiful poetry and you have the big repository.     The title “Timeless Echo”, is very intuitive and intriguing. Yes we all have so many desires and thoughts, the secrets in our memory storehouse, we limit ourselves in expressing and aspiring as we are protective and have the societal to economic limitation. We accumulate and harbor those inner feelings within ourselves and there is a hidden pain and there is rising agony, and we have no means to calm those with any other balms… it needs reflection, it needs expression, it needs imagination and inspiration to support us and lift us from such deceptive traps. Indeed there is no such different boxes for joy and grief, and they come as we think and what we work and we have no way to stop it and we need to learn the art of accepting and addressing those experiences of life.

    Yes Balroop, we will ensure that such beautiful thoughts of yours gains the bigger wings to fly high and wide.

      1. Interesting. Well, our poetry must go in stages just as we do. That doesn’t make the poetry less viable or valuable. It just describes that stage poetically.
